NWAIS Accredited Independent School
The Northwest Association of Independent Schools (NWAIS) is a voluntary membership organization that promotes high educational quality for its schools through the establishment and advancement of comprehensive accreditation standards.
The NWAIS guides, inspires and advances schools while recognizing that each school has a unique mission and philosophy. It does not try to impose a specific set of criteria that each school must meet, but, rather, the attributes of a quality institution. Accreditation offers a vehicle for ongoing improvement; robust standards for success; and a reflective, mission-driven process.
Accreditation assures accountability.
Accreditation assesses how well a school is fulfilling its mission.
Accreditation helps schools identify areas for growth.
The Process of Accreditation:
Is inclusive & collaborative
Includes a voluntary self-examination of strengths, weaknesses, priorities and plans
Is a reflective process that looks at congruence between mission and practice
Looks at where we’ve been and helps us determine where we want to go!
